July expenses and Investments (29 yo)

Thoughts: I invested a substantial amount in the stock market in recent months, just before the correction in August, resulting in a decline in the value of my portfolio. It might be wise to keep some cash on hand for any unexpected events. Regular expenses remain below $500, as usual. However, I've been spending more on gifts and special events recently, focusing on mindful and joyful spending on things that truly matter.

Upcoming overseas expenditure (Sep)

  • Flight & hotel: $300
  • Cash budget: $900

Insurance: I only use FWD Travel Insurance as the claim process has been smooth

Miles tracker

62% progress towards redeeming a business class ticket to Japan

Cards that I recommend:

Citi PremierMiles Card

Citi Cash Back+ Card

Citi SMRT Card

Total regular expenses: $300

  • Public transport: $104
  • Telco: $17
  • Taobao: $17
  • Cloud: $1
  • Food & groceries: $161

Special expenses
