My investment allocation plan

I’ve decided to take a more structured and intentional approach to my investments. Until now, I’ve been diversifying across various asset classes, but the allocation percentages aren’t defined. My strategy was more casual and inconsistent.

Going forward, my intention is to stick to a defined allocation plan, guided by specific percentage targets. Hopefully, this approach will provide resilience during market volatility and support my long-term financial goals.

Investment objective

I'm investing for wealth growth and passive income, with the intention of building a stable financial foundation that can grow steadily over time while providing regular income.

 What I Currently Hold

  • Singapore stocks
  • USA stocks
  • Endowus Flagship Portfolio
  • Endowus Technology Portfolio
  • Singapore Government Savings Bonds (SSB)
  • Hong Kong stocks
  • Syfe Bond Portfolio
  • Syfe Core Equity 100 Portfolio
  • Cash buffer

Allocation breakdown in percentage

  • Global stocks 30%
  • Bond 25%
  • US stocks 20%
  • SG stocks 10%
  • Tech stocks 10%
  • HK stocks 5%

Rationale

  • 60% equities / 25% bonds / 15% thematic + cash buffer strikes a strong balance between growth, income, and volatility control.
  • Direct holdings in Singapore, Hong Kong, and US stocks let me tailor exposure to specific companies and dividend payers.
  • Bonds anchor my portfolio with low-risk, income-generating instruments — ideal during volatile periods.
  • The technology and equity-focused portfolios offer long-term upside without skewing my portfolio too aggressively toward risk.

Maintenance Strategy

I plan to review and rebalance my portfolio every 6 to 12 months, adjusting as needed to keep the proportions on track — especially during times of market movement or major life changes.
